This prestigious new deal will see Crypto.com become an integral part of the newest Formula 1 event on the calendar, with its brand incorporated into the official event title and logo, in addition to exposure across the Miami International Autodrome. BlackRock Planning to Offer Crypto Trading. The New York-based company, which manages over $10 trillion in assets for institutions, plans to enter the cryptocurrency space with “client support trading and then with their own credit facility,”. In other words, clients would be able to borrow from BlackRock by pledging crypto assets as collateral. DeFi Project Aave Launches Decentralized Social Media Platform on Polygon. Decentralized finance platform Aave has announced the launch of Lens Protocol, a decentralized social media platform built on the Polygon blockchain. Named after lens culinaris, a plant that has a symbiotic relationship with soil bacteria, the open-source "Web3, smart contracts-based social graph" is based on an ecosystem of dynamic non-fungible tokens. US Officials Seize $3.6B in Bitcoin From 2016 Bitfinex Hack. Agents arrested two individuals in New York on Tuesday on charges they conspired to launder proceeds from the Bitfinex hack in 2016. Some 120,000 BTC was stolen in the 2016 hack, then worth around $60 million and representing nearly one-sixth of the total trading volume at the time. KPMG Canada Adds Crypto to Its Balance Sheet. The Canadian branch of accounting giant KPMG has made its first allocation of crypto assets to its corporate treasury. The privately held firm said Monday it acquired bitcoin and ether on its balance sheet through Gemini Trust Company’s execution and custody services. Alfa Romeo Is Building NFTs Into Latest Hybrid Car to Record Vehicle Data. Italian luxury car maker Alfa Romeo has revealed it will be using non-fungible tokens to track and store maintenance records on the blockchain for its new Tonale SUV.
